Slots Temple, an online gaming platform, underwent multiple iterations for new products and developments. This iterative process resulted in the typical issues of product bloat, accumulated technical debt, visual inconsistencies, poor usability, and a diminishing sense of trustworthiness. Recognizing the need for a fresh start, it was decided to revisit the brand, reevaluate and refresh its values, ultimately leading to the revamping of the site with a renewed perspective.
I refined a Discovery, Concepting and Delivery process - utilising necessary tools to learn as much as we needed to learn and move as fast as we needed to move. Slots Temple had a strong initial idea of what they wanted to be seen as, what they wanted to stand for. I defined the detail of this using Rapid Design Thinking, Brand Strategy Discovery, Competitor & Comparator analysis, JTBDs, Quantitative validation ending up with Strategic Themes to take the visual identity forward. The next phase was an unusual hybrid of wire framing and UI very close to each other - developing a large robust design system.
The ongoing phase of structuring solutions for Slots Temple primarily centers on an elaborate Design System and a Figma file that delineates page templates. This Figma document provides a comprehensive explanation of how components can seamlessly integrate and the functional flow of usability elements, such as the behavior of subnavs when the page scrolls on mobile devices. However, the primary objective was to present a refreshed and thrilling brand experience that retains the exciting game-like ambiance while instilling a greater sense of professionalism and confidence through robust usability patterns.
